Meet Our Team

Bridgett Jessop

Principal Designer & Owner

Bridgett’s passion for design began at a young age, growing up in Cochrane, AB. Her career began working at a paint store and flooring store before moving on to work with home builders as an Interior Designer and customer liaison. Bridgett’s goal was always to become a business owner and be her own boss.

In 2003 Debutante Design was launched. Working from home with sample books and paperwork covering the kitchen table and boxes of accessories creating a maze through the living room was just the beginning. Debutante quickly grew and a junior designer was hired, and a larger office space was created in the home basement. With unwavering commitment and determination Debutante Design continued to grow. To meet client needs and provide a high level of interior design service, Bridgett navigated her business to a commercial office and much needed storage space.

Years later, Debutante landed at their beautiful interior design studio on Blackfoot Trail. Through honesty, integrity and attention to client service, she has developed valuable relationships with prominent home builders and trade supplier partners. Her passion for interior design continues to drive new challenges. She inspires her team to continually learn and grow in a fast paced, but fun work environment.

When asked by clients what her most favourite project was, her answer is always “The one that I am currently working on”, reflecting the deserved attention she puts into every project. Bridgett has an innate ability to visualize the end result of an entire project. By listening to the clients wants, needs and taking their personal taste into account, she skillfully and thoughtfully pulls together design, colour, and function to create a beautiful space that brings comfort and happiness.

She is trained in a diverse set of design styles and carries a wide range of skills. Coupled together with lifelong observations of interior spaces and places travelled, her work reflects what she calls a balanced design. It is more about creating each project to suit the individual tastes of the client, not blanketing everything with one style.

This is your space, inspired.

Nicole Bowerman

Operations Manager

Nicole grew up an Alberta girl, living both the small-town life and the big city life. She has lived in both Calgary and Edmonton but will always remain a Flames fan. While in Edmonton she attended Grant MacEwan University where she majored in Visual Communication. After she married her husband, they moved to Toronto for 4 years and had great adventures. They have since relocated back to Alberta where they have been ever since.

She has a wide range of experience, from retail store operations, merchandising, buying, training, and sales. The underlying theme is always “creativity”. She is always challenging herself to seek new opportunities that provide adventure and new knowledge. One of her greatest passions is creating order out of chaos. Elisa Humble

Interior Designer

Upon graduating from S.A.I.T. in 2003, with a diploma in Architectural Technologies, Elisa worked for Calgary based home builder Albi Homes for two years. In this time, she created a custom show home which was nominated for a SAM Award, developed new product and effectively worked with customer liaisons to create full working drawings for clients.

From there, Elisa decided to move to a new small volume custom home builder called Vintage Fine Homes, where she spent two and a half valuable years. During her employment, she worked with the sales team and clients to develop custom homes in new and inner-city communities and created and developed new product while working closely with trades and developers.

A short time after, Elisa worked for a developer now known as Brookfield Residential where she worked as an Architectural Coordinator. Here, she approved all Architectural Controls such as elevations, plot plans and exterior schedules and ensured guidelines were followed by homebuilders in all communities.

Elisa soon missed the creativity of designing and took a position of Residential Designer at Baywest Homes. She spent two years working with customer drawings and helping develop and improve new and old product. She also updated working drawings and drawing layouts so that they are better received in the field and by customers.

A sudden job opportunity for her husband and a new baby on the way drove them to move to Edmonton. The move sparked her to take a leap and do something she’d always yearned to do and apply her knowledge and skills towards her own company.

Elisa has been successfully operating Humble Home Design for over ten years where she became more diverse and worked with home builders of any size, renovation companies and even independent homeowners.

In January 2023, Elisa joined the talented Debutante Design team, where she is enjoying a wide range of projects including drawing homeowner interior details, exterior renderings, and creating full working drawings for new builds and renovations.

It’s safe to say, Elisa loves her job and creating houses and spaces that people can be proud to call home.
